Senior transitions

Moving to assisted living, with dignity and ease

Your family has chosen the new home. We take care of everything around the move (downsizing, packing, setting up the new room and settling in) so it feels like a new beginning, not a loss.

How we help

From "where will everything go?" to settled in

A move to assisted living is a lot of decisions at once, usually on a deadline and usually while emotions run high. We take the practical work off your family's shoulders so you can focus on each other.

  • Tour the new community with family
  • Downsize belongings for the move
  • Pack and organize for the move
  • Set up the new room and move in
  • Coordinate with family members
  • Sell, donate or clear out the old home

Please note: we don't help choose or find an assisted living community. Your family picks the new home; we take care of the move.

What it looks like

A move in four gentle steps

Plan

Your family has chosen the new home. We talk through the move date, the new room and who needs to be involved.

Tour together

We visit the new community with your family to see the room and plan what furniture and keepsakes will fit.

Downsize & pack

We decide together what comes along, then pack and organize it for the move.

Move in

We set up the new room with familiar things, then help sell, donate or clear out the old home.

Questions about senior moves

Can you help us find an assisted living community?

No. Choosing the community is your family's decision, and it should be made before we start. Once it's picked, we help with everything around the move: touring it with you to plan the room, downsizing, packing, moving in and clearing out the old home.

What happens to everything that doesn't fit in the new room?

Every item gets a decision: keep, donate, sell or pass down. We arrange donation pickups or drop-offs, prepare items for sale, and clear out the old home.

Do you provide care after the move?

No. We're a non-medical transition service. We help with the move, the belongings and the set-up, not personal or medical care.

What does it cost?

All services are $65/hr, and your first consultation is free. There's one simple rate whether we're helping with a move, a loved one's home or a cluttered garage.

Planning a move for Mom or Dad?

The first conversation is free, and there's no pressure. Tell us what's going on and we'll tell you honestly how we can help.
